The almost endless shunting of locomotives that went on to and from the King's Cross loco stabling point provided non-stop viewing enjoyment for the enthusiasts on the end of Platform 9. Here two English Electric Type 4 Class 40s are performing a pas-de-deux, with the one in the foreground making a break for the open and moving towards the tunnels before reversing and heading a train away from the terminus.
