'The Sunset Scotsman'
Gresley A3 4472 'The Flying Scotsman' is seen crossing at Newcastle, crossing the River Tyne on the King Edward Bridge on its way south with the LNER Society Railtours 'Rail 150 Steam Special' to London St. Pancras on 28th September 1975. The train was booked with 13 coaches (with a possibility of 2 more to be added at Sheffield) to cope with demand due to the Rail 150 celebrations. 4472 had struggled leaving York on the northbound journey, but seems to be getting to grips here having deaprted Newcastle Central station.
Flying Scotsman has now been preserved for longer than it was in service with the LNER and British Railways.

Our Recommendation
Print finishes are always subjective, and everyone has their own personal taste. For Black and White prints we would always recommend choosing a Fine Art paper. Our personal favourite is the Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm paper. This paper always shows off contrast in Black and White photographs, and reduces glare from indirect light when displayed on a wall at home. If you prefer a "gloss" finish then the Hahnemühle Fine Art Pearl 285gsm paper is the best choice.
